Bullied Oklahoma Students Are Utilizing School-Choice Options
November 3, 2017 - 12:50pm CDT
In a meeting of the Oklahoma School Choice Coalition yesterday at OCPA, Jason Bedrick, the director of policy for EdChoice, made the case (via Google Hangout) that school choice can help keep children safe from bullying. The coalition, formed in 2009, is chaired by OCPA trustee Bill Price and meets monthly in the Advance Center for Free Enterprise on the OCPA campus.
After the meeting, two Oklahoma school leaders, Jennifer Vaught of Trinity School and Ben Harris of Epic Charter Schools, said Bedrick’s remarks rang true and are consistent with their experience.
