There is no greater gift that anyone can give than to pass along to fellow citizens a genuine love of God, family, and country.
OCPA certainly passes along all three, especially a love for our state and nation, America’s founding, and its principles. We do this because there is a need for citizens always to remember and to understand the exceptionalness of our heritage. We realize our very survival depends upon it.
The men and women of our nation’s founding risked everything for freedom and they weren’t naïve. They knew the cost if they weren’t successful. That’s what made them such remarkable people. They sought freedom more than security. There was never any other option, because they knew the legacy they must leave for future generations was more important than their own comfort or guarantees.
In these volatile days of uncertainty, we see a lack of regard for our nation’s founding principles, often even a wholesale discounting of our Constitution and Bill of Rights by those who seek to change our destiny. It is time we realize the task before us is greater than ever before and it is later than we think.
As a freedom-loving citizen of this exceptional nation, you often search for the right way to make an impact on your fellow citizens. You know there must be a continual education process in order for people really to appreciate our freedoms. It must be consistently presented and accumulative in nature.
In Oklahoma, the best impact can be made by supporting OCPA. Through your generous donations much work is being done to uphold the ideas of freedom. With our publications, website, public forums, and special events we are reactivating that sense of pride for our heritage within our citizens. Please consider a generous donation to OCPA this month. It will assist us in passing along this ultimate gift to the next generation.
