2008 Citizenship Dinner
The 2008 OCPA Citizenship Dinner was a huge success. The event was held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum where guests were treated to an address by author and former Reagan speech writer, Peggy Noonan.
Noonan is a columnist for The Wall Street Journal and the best selling author of seven books on American politics, history and culture. Noonan's best selling books include: "The Case Against Hillary Clinton," and "When Character Was King: A Story of Ronald Reagan."
Noonan was a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan from 1984 to 1986. She is among a prestigious line of previous OCPA Citizenship Dinner speakers including the late Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick, Justice Clarence Thomas, Gen. Tommy Franks and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
At the dinner, OCPA unveiled the second phase of its Capital Campaign. This will be a three year fundraising effort to provide OCPA with enhanced meeting space and continue the valuable research done at its facility.
