-
Donor information shall be held in strict confidence by the development
office and all authorized agents of OCPA. Access to data related to
donors and donations shall be limited to the OCPA President, OCPA
development staff, and members of the OCPA Board. Any additional access
must have the explicit approval of the President or OCPA Chairman of
the Board.
- All parties granted access to donor information will be informed about OCPA's policies and procedures for protecting personal information. All parties will be required to conform to OCPA's policies and procedures concerning the security of personal information.
- OCPA shall not sell, rent, trade, or give donors' personal or contact information to any other person or organization.
-
Any disclosure of donor information shall be limited to names of
supporters only, in alphabetical list form. The listing of names should
not include the gift amount or any other personal donor information.
- The names of supporters along with a category of giving (such as "Underwriter" or "Sponsor"), but not the exact amount of the gift, may be published for events and activities in which specified sponsorship levels are made available as an integral component of the event or activity.
- As required or appropriate in soliciting support from foundations, corporations and comparable organizations, names and amounts of support from similar organizations may be provided as part of a grant application or gift request.
- Donors have the opportunity to request anonymity from any public acknowledgment of a contribution, thereby maintaining their privacy. OCPA asks that any such requests be made by written instrument to the OCPA President or OCPA Chairman of the Board. OCPA will honor such requests for privacy.
