Moving Oklahoma Forward

October 01, 2007

The summer has passed quickly. Two important Summer Speaker Series luncheons were held-along with numerous policy meetings with opinion leaders. Our Avery Boardroom has been busy as well, hosting many gatherings of influential thinkers on important issues. OCPA was fully engaged in the activities of researching key issues and reporting our findings and our viewpoints to citizens across the state. Policy papers and commentaries were produced calling for reform in many areas of governance. Throughout the summer one thing remained consistent, OCPA's desire to advance ideas which can improve the opportunities for more people to enjoy greater freedoms.

This important work is done through the generosity of our donors-citizens who understand the value of changing the climate of opinion in our state. Progress keeps being made, in part because of the innovative ideas of OCPA. Note the credit that OCPA received earlier this year from Oklahoma's largest newspaper for our transparency website idea.

A basic objective of OCPA is getting people to realize that all public policies either move us forward or take us backward. In Oklahoma's centennial year which direction would you rather see us go? Make a special centennial gift to OCPA this month. What better way to invest in the future of our Oklahoma than by investing in the state's premiere free-market public policy think tank today?
