Staff


 

Michael C. Carnuccio is President of OCPA and joined the staff in January of 2010. Carnuccio has lectured as Adjunct Faculty for the Department of Political Science at Oklahoma State University. He has been published in the Korean Journal of Public Policy, The Oklahoman, and the Tulsa World. Carnuccio received his Master of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Oklahoma State University. Previously, Carnuccio has been Senior Advisor with Oklahomans for Responsible Government, Director of Public Affairs for the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and Director of Public Affairs with Saxum Strategic Communications, now Saxum PR. Prior to joining Saxum, Carnuccio was a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Department of Political Science at Oklahoma State University, where he was an instructor for university courses in American Government. A recognized public speaker, Carnuccio has focused on actions today that impact our economic, political, and professional future.

 

 

Brett A. Magbee is the Vice President for Operations of OCPA and joined the staff in 1994. He served as executive director from 1994 to 2004. Before joining OCPA, Brett spent nearly 20 years in the marketing and advertising industry, receiving the Distributor Advertising Manager of the Year Award from a national consumer electronics company his first year after college and multiple “Addy” awards in the years that followed. Traveling to foreign countries, he witnessed the repressiveness of totalitarian regimes and the excesses of dictatorships. This provided him a great appreciation and a passion for our Constitutional Republic. Working with youth in the Boy Scouts of America has been an important part of Brett’s volunteering efforts. He was named Scoutmaster of the Year in 2005 from the Baden-Powell District. Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University.

 

 

Brandon Dutcher is the Vice President for Policy of OCPA and joined the staff in 1995. He previously served as research director. Prior to joining OCPA, he was the founding editor and publisher of the Bartlesville Times. Brandon’s state- and national-award-winning columns have appeared in the Sacramento Bee, the San Francisco Examiner, Investor’s Business Daily, and more than 185 newspapers across Oklahoma and the United States. Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma and masters degrees in Journalism and Public Policy from Regent University.

 

Margaret Ann Morris is the Director of Development at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. She has overseen fundraising and donor development since 2002, helping grow the membership base and increasing investment in our mission from foundations, individuals, and corporations. Before joining OCPA, she served in former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating's administration as director of operations and later as executive assistant to the governor.  She also served as executive assistant to the Oklahoma secretary of commerce. Margaret Ann has extensive fundraising experience in Oklahoma and founded Enterprise Resource Group, a fundraising consulting firm, in 1998.

 

 

 

 

Jason Sutton is the Policy Impact Director of OCPA and joined the staff in May 2010. Prior to joining OCPA, Jason handled communications, marketing, public relations and research duties for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma , the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma Insurance Department. His work has been published in numerous newspapers, including the Oklahoman, Tulsa World and Baptist Messenger. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Oklahoma State University and is completing a law degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law.

 

 

Bob Provine, CPA joined the staff in 2010 as the Controller. Bob has had a tax practice for over 25 years. He served as the Finance Director and City Clerk for the City of Midwest City for 18 years. Also, Bob served with several Oklahoma City and Tulsa companies as Treasurer or Controller. Bob was an Officer in the United States Air Force. Bob holds a bachelor degree in Business Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has 39 hours of graduate work in accounting at UCO, the University of Oklahoma, and Wichita State University. Bob is a past president and member of the Midwest City Optimist Club. He also served as vice-chairman and board member for the Midwest City Credit Union. Provine is a member of the Norman Chapter of CPAs.

 

 

Dacia D. Harris is the Executive Assistant and Web Manager. She joined the staff in 2008. Before coming to OCPA, Dacia worked at The Oklahoman as an online editor for NewsOK.com. Dacia graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a bachelor degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also earned her masters degree in Business with a focus in E-commcerce from Oklahoma Christian University.

 

 

 

Chelsea Barnett is the Special Projects Coordinator at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs and joined the staff full-time in May 2010. Chelsea previously served as an OCPA intern from fall 2009 through summer 2010. While in college, she served as a Senator in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature and has worked as both a volunteer and staffer on various state and national political campaigns. Chelsea holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with an emphasis in Public Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She graduated summa cum laude with an associate’s degree in General Studies from Redlands Community College.

 
 

Clara B. Wright serves as Receptionist for OCPA and joined the staff in 2008. Clara was the longtime administrative assistant for former Governor Frank Keating and also for former Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin. Clara has extensive experience in the financial world, having served in various capacities in the industry since 1966. She is a member of Toastmasters International, the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Women's Bankers. Clara holds an associate's degree in banking from Oklahoma City Community College.
