Another revenue record

OCPA has written here, here, and here that state tax collections and spending are at all-time highs.

A review of the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s “Daily Report of Taxes Collected” as of January 31, 2014 reveals that the state is on pace to set yet another record for tax collections in the current fiscal year. According to the report, year-to-date, the Tax Commission has collected more than has ever been collected year-to-date in prior years, even surpassing the unsustainably high collections before the recession.
