New polling shows that just 25 percent of Oklahoma voters approve of President Joe Biden, a lower rate than in all but two states.

According to data released by Civiqs, 69 percent of Oklahoma voters disapprove of Biden’s job performance while another 6 percent offer no opinion, compared to 25 percent who express support for the president.

In the 2020 election, Biden received the support of 32 percent of Oklahoma voters.

Civiqs manages and maintains its own online survey panel, and recently released both national and state-level approval rates for Biden throughout the country. The company reports that its panel has received 98,808 responses nationwide from registered voters from Jan. 20 to Sept. 8.

Nationwide, the company shows that 42 percent of voters approve of Biden’s job performance while 50 percent disapprove. Those national figures are in line with the results of other recent polls.

Voters in only two states expressed a lower level of support for Biden than did Oklahoma: Wyoming (23 percent) and West Virginia (21 percent).

Those two states, along with North Dakota, were also the only states where Biden drew a smaller share of voters than he did in Oklahoma in the 2020 election.

Civiqs’ data showed that Biden has a net negative approval rating in the majority of U.S. states with more people disapproving than approving.

Biden had a net-positive approval rating in just 13 states: California (52 percent), Connecticut (47 percent), Hawaii (55 percent), Illinois (49 percent), Maryland (54 percent), Massachusetts (55 percent), New Hampshire (49 percent), New Jersey (48 percent), New York (49 percent), Oregon (49 percent), Rhode Island (51 percent), Vermont (59 percent, and Washington (48 percent).

Even in Biden’s home state of Delaware, the share of voters who disapprove of his job performance equals the share that approve with an even split of 46 percent for each side.

The states where disapproval exceeds approval include several states that are considered pivotal swing states in presidential elections.

Biden’s job approval was below 40 percent in 24 states, a near-majority of the country.
