Reaffirming common sense

What does it mean to be financially responsible? The question is as simple as the answer is consequential. Common sense suggests the answer includes spending less than we have and not making commitments we’re unable or unlikely to keep.

Another question: Shouldn’t this same fiscal common sense apply to government just like it does to everyone else?
