Voting for responsible government

Oklahoma voters had a clear choice in the election for governor.

The conservative businessman, Kevin Stitt, won 73 of 77 counties and collected the most votes for a gubernatorial candidate in state history. He beat all the pre-election polls, racking up 54 percent of the vote.

Drew Edmondson, a conventional liberal with a long career in government, won just 42 percent of the vote. The contrast between the two candidates was as clear as the outcome.
